Healthy Seniors Lifestyle
Planned Activities for Senior Living
Our Care Manager and Activities Coordinator regularly schedule recreational fun for the residents to promote assisted senior living where we live each day to the fullest. Weekly activities like stretching, music, card games, board games, and crafts are spearheaded by our Activities Coordinator. Our Care Manager plans quarterly outings designed to meet the different needs and capabilities of our residents. These include museum visits, theater performances and instructional classes, like painting. Last but not least, we host two family events at the house every quarter, many celebrating holidays.
Our on-staff cook prepares fresh, delicious, nutritious meals and snacks daily. Residents will wake up to a healthy breakfast that may include eggs, yogurt, fruit, cereal, and pastries. The main meal is typically served midday and then a light dinner. Snacks are prepared and available in the afternoon and evening. With only 10 residents in each of our care homes and a ratio of one to five, we quickly become familiar with each resident’s favorite foods and nutritional and dietary needs.
My brother and I are very appreciative of the care Mom has received while at PLC. She is doing better since she has been there. All of her caregivers that I have met personally and/ or talked to on the phone have always been very helpful and cheerful. I know their job is not an easy one.” – Sandy & Matt
Paradise Living Centers schedules regular visits from our beloved four-legged therapists. Studies show multiple benefits from pet therapy, including elevated spirits, comfort, clarity, lower blood pressure, improved cardiovascular and decreased depression. Many of our residents enjoy spending quality time with man’s best friend and look especially forward to these visits.
To provide the best in healthy living at Paradise Living Centers, we take a comprehensive holistic approach. Our Intergenerational Program is made possible through a partnership created with local schools and organizations, which allows us to coordinate activities that benefit both the children and our residents. We plan engaging and interactive activities that help the children grow and interact with residents, bringing joy to all of those involved.
We have a variety of large comfortable spaces in our homes for entertainment and socializing. This allows residents space to gather to play games, read, visit with friends and family, and watch television. On Friday afternoons we have live music performances at each home. Evenings and weekends are a favorite time for special movie nights, popcorn included. Each resident also has a TV in his or her room, where they can relax and watch a favorite program on their own.
